Jerron Jorgensen, DMA currently serves as Director of Choral Activities and Music Education Coordinator at Coker College in South Carolina and is an active soloist, chorister, director, teacher, and arranger. He specializes in contemporary works, oratorio, and buffo tenor roles. Jerron has worked as a soloist with opera companies and orchestras in both the United States and abroad, and a sample of more recent appearances include work with Hartford Opera Theater, Hartford Independent Chamber Orchestra, Rhode Island Civic Chorale & Orchestra, Soli Deo Gloria Orchestra, New Haven Oratorio Choir, and the New Haven Chorale. As a chorister, he has performed with numerous professional choirs including GRAMMY®-nominated True Concord Voices & Orchestra in Tucson, and is thrilled to now be joining the Taylor Festival Choir. He is also co-founder of IN MEDIAS ARTS, an artist collaborative focused on the development and performance of new multidisciplinary works. Jerron holds a Doctor of Musical Arts degree in Voice Performance from The Hartt School, University of Hartford; a Master of Music in Voice Performance from Arizona State University; and a Bachelor of Arts in Voice from South Dakota State University.
